The Missouri Open Championship, Open All Age, and Open Derby, were being held the last week on March in Grovespring Missouri. I went and rode with them on a few occasions. This is a photo from Wenesday. Had a great time. The people were friendly and helpful. I learned some things about field trials and bird dogs. It looks like the scouts do all the work and have all the fun. I decided I want a job as a scout.

This is my dog Steven. He is an Aussie. He is an old dog and very well behaved. He guards the truck while we ride. He stays in the truck real well. When I got him he had a set of papers but I didn't send them in and lost them. I do not know his breeding nor where he came from. He was a gift. Thank you Catherine and Jessica.

My Winter wardrobe

Here is a photo of me taken yesterday. This is what I look like much of the time. This photo was taken after a day of hauling and riding hores. I just about live in my covies. We have been to the field trials grounds to ride three times in the last three days. A trial is starting today and running all week. I will get more photos.

This is Arrows Diamond Dust. She was not halter broke (though had been to trainers) when I got her, at 7. She is still a bit snorty and will occansionally pull away when being led (less and less all the time). She is muddy for sure. I will get better photos soon. She is sure a different type of walking horse than Hag. They are both walking horses registered with TWHBEA but one is short and stocky and the other is lean and long strided.

This is Hag and I at our first show. It was in Georgia and we took like fourth out of 7 or 8 in the in hand class (the only one we entered). We went to two shows in Colorado and did well winning the waterglass class at both shows. We also won ribbons in the western classes.

This is another old old photo of hag and I. She is my all time favorite riding horse, and she has a lot of training to go to be as well trained as some I have had before. She was a real mess when I first met her. I will post her story sometime and of some of my past horses if I can find photos of them.
This is Haggatha. She is a registered and blood typed Tennessee Walking horse. She is 16.1 hands tall and is 10 years old. Her papers claim she is a bay out of two black horses (genetically impossible). I have had her tested at U.C. Davis and she is black with a red gene. She has had two foals for me one red and one black. She is my trail riding and hope to show horse.
This is Amber, Taffy's grand-dam on her mother's side. Amber is a very interesting horse color wise. She is actually a black horse (all horses are either red or black).

Her bay (black) daughter by a palomino(red) stallion is proof of that. She appears to have Agouti (the gene that changes black to bay) and champagne as well as cream (changes red to gold).

This is my filly Arrow's Saltwater Taffy. She will be one year old this spring. She was born pure white and is turning darker. You can see her dam in the background, a clear bay. He grand-dam however is an interesting set of color genes. I will post photos of Amber (Taffy's grand dam) soon.
Taffy came from Lazy Y Arrow Walkers in Arapahoe Colorado. She is friendly and inquisitive, has a loose fast way of crossing the field and I hope will be as much a pleasure to ride as she is to own. Thank you Delene.
